Why is bouldering worth mentioning?

  • Improves focus and sustained attention.
  • Builds resilience through repeated failure.
  • Encourages creative problem-solving.
  • Supports both physical and mental health.

I started bouldering just before the famous year of 2020 when everything stopped. Back then, my physique was... well, not great. After years of neglect while focusing on my studies, it was hard to pick up something as challenging as bouldering. And just as I started improving, everything had to be closed and we were forced to stay at home. So the steady decline of my physique got back on course. It took some time, until I started frequenting gym in 2023 thank to my colleague Ondřej. And when I lost nearly 20kg and got in a reasonable shape, I figured it might be time to give bouldering another chance. That was in summer 2025. The immediate progress I could see kept me going in the early phase and now, even though the innitial burst slowed down, I still look forward to every bouldering session.
